Bill Kristol attacks Ron Paul and misrepresents his view on World War II

The Weekly Standard’s and Fox News analyst, Bill Kristol, made desperate attacks against Republican frontrunner Ron Paul. Kristol calls Paul a ‘Crackpot’ and even questioned the Air Force veteran’s patriotism.

The issue came up when Fox News interviewed Kristol about Paul’s response to Tim Russert’s questions on Meet the Press. Russert was digging up 20 year old quotes from Paul that had nothing to do with the election or Paul’s current platform.

The quotes dealt with Ron Paul’s statements in the past about the Civil War being avoidable and that there could have been a peaceful resolution to the conflict instead of the resulting 600,000 death toll of the war.

Kristol then misrepresented Paul’s view on World War II saying that Paul didn’t support World War II. Paul has said that he supported World War II because the U.S. was attacked by Japan and because Hitler declared war on the U. S. as well.

Ron Paul is now best positioned to win the Republican primary and is already financed through Super Tuesday. Paul received donations from over 123,000 people this quarter. This apparently has corporate controlled pundits launching a full scale panic attack.

Paul has campaigned on a non interventionist foreign policy and voted against the Iraq war. Paul has disagreed with his opponents radical and dangerous policies which include pre-emptive nuclear war against nations that did not attack the U.S.

He has also defended the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Dr. Paul voted against the Patriot Act and opposes a police state. Paul has become America’s advocate for individual liberty and is drawing support from Americans wishing to remain free.

Paul has also promoted monetary reform and a return to the gold standard and has been very critical of the Federal Reserve’s ability to create money out of thin air which he calls the ‘Inflation Tax’. Paul has also blamed the Federal Reserve for creating the housing crash. Paul also wants to eliminate federal income taxes.

Paul’s detractors are attempting to avoid discussing the issues by launching incredulous attacks against him because he is apparently winning. This nationwide AOL straw poll shows Paul leading Republicans nationally and increasing his lead in Iowa and New Hampshire. Over 80 thousand Republicans and 76 thousand Democrats have participated in the poll.
